SuperScore is an application designed for viewing, managing, and interacting with a personal library of musical scores. Utilizing Liquid Music Display™ technology, SuperScore offers an array of features tailored to enhance the user’s music notation experience with virtually unlimited sizing options. Users can easily adjust notation sizes and layouts using standard pinch and spread gestures.

Key aspects of SuperScore include Liquid Music Display technology for adaptive notation formatting, the ability to show/hide musical parts, playback functionality for scores featuring embedded MIDI performances with the option to mute specific parts, a range of high-quality virtual instruments, features for external MIDI instrument playback, as well as additional playback controls like looping, tempo adjustments, and metronome settings.

Furthermore, SuperScore offers unique capabilities such as specialized playback functions for acoustic pianos equipped with player systems, seamless page-turning methods including swipe gestures, wireless Bluetooth pedals, MIDI signaling, and intelligent score-following mechanisms. Users can engage in interactive play-along experiences by connecting a MIDI instrument to their iPad.

SuperScore supports wireless Bluetooth LE MIDI devices and provides a markup mode for adding musical symbols or free-hand drawings to scores. It also allows users to create Collections for efficient score navigation during lessons or performances. Additionally, users have the option to import PDFs through an available in-app purchase feature.

SuperScore is compatible with specially-formatted SuperScore files offered by publishers, composers, and arrangers. The application includes sample files and permits the acquisition of additional scores via in-app purchases. Users can also utilize PDF scores with the optional PDF Import feature, enabling them to benefit from SuperScore functionalities like various page-turning methods, markups, and Collections.

SuperScore distinguishes itself with its versatile Liquid Music Display feature that adapts instantaneously to a user's preferred size or layout, ensuring music notation remains coherent across different orientations. The application facilitates easy manipulation of multiple parts within a score by allowing users to show or hide specific elements at their discretion.

An extensive set of annotation tools empowers users to annotate their scores for practice or performance purposes effortlessly. Page-turning options are diverse, including full and partial page-turns along with customizable playback tempo settings and cursor tracking. Users can opt for automatic page-turning or hands-free control using compatible Bluetooth pedal accessories or MIDI foot switch pedals.

Moreover, SuperScore offers performance-enhancing features such as backing tracks that provide an immersive performance experience at any tempo with the flexibility to mute backing tracks. The application includes a high-quality virtual concert grand piano featuring incremental pedal and sympathetic string resonance effects alongside a realistic set of GM instruments.

By leveraging MIDI connectivity capabilities with any MIDI-enabled digital or acoustic instrument, users can experience enhanced interactivity as SuperScore responds to their playing dynamics and tempo adjustments. The application synchronizes accompaniment parts automatically based on the user's performance and offers a learning mode for interactive practice sessions.

Once users have acquired support for PDF files within the application, they can store, view, and annotate all their scores seamlessly in SuperScore. Additionally, users can organize their scores into set lists (Collections) for improved efficiency during lessons or performances.
